Post DKP!
we are starting a new dkp system, the rules are as follows. if you disagree with any of them or have something you think should be added pls post a reply

DKP is pinned to the PLAYER.

How to Earn DKP.

-- 6 points hourly (2 points every 20 min)
-- 4 points for being on time. (this includes having your flasks, potions, gems, enchants, and being in the raid group within 10 min of the time designated)
-- 3-5 Bosses you will earn 3-5 points per boss kill depending on the the assigned number given to each boss.
-- 10 Iron man (if you are in the run from start to finish)

How to lose DKP
-- -5 points for a MIA. (if you accept the guild invite and do not show up within 30min YOU will be counted as a no show)
-- -2 points for being 10-25 min late (Remember that the longer it takes for us to get the group ready, the shorter amount of time it gives us to progress.)
-- -1 point for invading vent (you will be given ONE warning for interrupting a raid leader, or being a nuisance to the raid. PLEASE be courteous and we will have no problems)

Loot RULES

We will auction off loot with a live auction that will take 30-60 seconds. You can bid at your will. (this gives you the opprotunity to purchase the gear you want. (When and what price is the real question.))

Now that we have a form of currency in the guild, we have a few rules of how you can use your DKP.

Hierarchy: main spec+main toon over offspec/alternate toon

Main toons will have priority because they are main raiders that are going to make progression happen.

if the loot drops are declined by all Main Toon raiders it will be dropped down to a bidding war between offspec and alternate toons. (Because not everyone has a alt they wish to bring raiding, people that are interested in collecting gear for another spec will have the chance to do so.

Post Re: DKP!
While I'm not a huge fan of DKP myself, it does seem to be the best way to handle a few of the problems with our raids.

1. Attendance. With DKP people are encouraged to be on time, be prepared with comsumables, and attend more often.

2. Loot. I HATE going to raids every week to see some nubtastic PUG member, or even a new guildie on his first raid roll higher than me on loot that I've lost to roll on week after week.

3. Recruitment. With a solid DKP system in place, the people out of guild that join us for raids are more likely join the guild and raid with us regularly. We need 30 people online ready to go for a 25 man raid. With our DKP system, EVERYONE that attends gets DKP. Even the people who don't make it into the actual 25 man raid group, as long as they are ready to jump in if we need them.

Is there something specific about DKP that you hate? Maybe something that we can address?

Josh

Post Re: DKP!
WoW is a game, its for fun. DKP makes it a job for officers to waste their time with AND for raid members to be on time, have this, have that... blah blah blah. yay I love coming home from work to go to work.....

BTW, we have about 2% of the guild reading the forums.... all our great posts are for not unless we can get them to view it.
